Hey! I’m D, a Designer based in Dallas

I have always possessed an innate aptitude for creativity, which initially manifested in whimsically crafting toilet paper dresses for my younger brother. Over time, this talent has evolved, enabling me to effectively communicate my stories and passions across various mediums. Within my professional endeavors, I embrace a dynamic and adventurous spirit.

As a recent graduate of SMU, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Advertising with a Minor in Graphic Design, I underwent a transformative journey. Originally on a path toward Business and Economics, I came to the realization that my true calling lay beyond Financial Accounting and Intermediate Price Theory. While I excelled in those subjects, I lacked the genuine passion that fuels my pursuits today. Instead, my time in the Advertising program allowed me to cultivate a student portfolio by engaging in mock campaigns and projects.

Beyond my proficiency in Adobe software, I harbor a deep enthusiasm for various creative pursuits such as pen-to-paper art, photography, makeup artistry, and jewelry making. Rather than claiming expertise in any specific area, I approach each endeavor with an unwavering determination to succeed.

In my work, I am guided by the principles of authenticity, storytelling, and generating unique, out-of-the-box ideas. I particularly enjoy undertaking logo/branding projects and exploring the realm of package design.

On a personal note, a few interesting facts about me: I have transitioned from being a former D1 water polo national champion to a recruited rower at SMU. Additionally, I am the proud owner of two pet bunny rabbits, named Playboy (quite fittingly) and Willow. Furthermore, I am a certified Pilates instructor, pursuing this passion alongside my creative pursuits.
